Product FAQs

What do No.1 and No.2 bush mean?

Biloc pulleys use two bush series. No.1 bushes fit Biloc pulleys from 71mm to 132mm diameter, while No.2 bushes fit Biloc pulleys from 140mm to 450mm diameter. Once the correct bush series is identified, select the bore size to suit your shaft.

Why is the bush sold separately?

Biloc pulleys use interchangeable bushes so the same pulley can be fitted to different shaft sizes. This reduces inventory requirements and makes future shaft changes or pulley reuse much easier. A standard single-pulley assembly requires a Biloc bush and retainer kit. If joining two pulleys together to create a double groove assembly, use the appropriate No.1 long bolt set or No.2 long bolt set instead of a retainer.

Do I need a keyway?

No. Biloc bushes use a keyless locking system that securely grips the shaft without requiring keys or grub screws.

What is this long bolt set used for?
Long bolt sets are used when joining two Biloc pulleys together to create a double groove pulley assembly.
Do I need a retainer when using a long bolt set?
No. When two Biloc pulleys are assembled together, the long bolt set replaces the retainer assembly.
Which long bolt set do I need?
Select the bolt set that matches your bush series:
• No.1 Bush ? Long Bolt Set No.1
• No.2 Bush ? Long Bolt Set No.2
Can I use this with pulleys of different diameters?
Yes. Biloc systems allow two pulleys of the same or different diameters to be mounted together using the appropriate bush and long bolt set.
Why would I create a double groove pulley?
Double groove pulleys can increase power transmission capacity and allow two belts to be run from the same drive arrangement.
