Returns & Refunds Policy
At RR Fisher, we understand that ordering industrial and engineering components isn't always straightforward. If you've ordered the wrong item, we'll do our best to help, provided the product can be returned to stock and resold.
Changed Your Mind or Ordered the Wrong Item?
We may accept returns of standard stocked products where:
- The return request is made within 30 days of purchase.
- The product is unused and in original saleable condition.
- The product has not been installed, fitted, operated, modified, or damaged.
- Original packaging, labels, and documentation are included.
- Proof of purchase is provided.
Once the goods are received and inspected, we may offer:
- A refund to the original payment method; or
- A credit to your account; or
- An exchange for a suitable alternative product.
RR Fisher reserves the right to apply a reasonable restocking fee where the return results from an ordering error and costs have been incurred.
Products We Cannot Accept for Return
The following products are generally non-returnable:
- Special order or non-stock items sourced specifically for a customer.
- Custom manufactured or modified products.
- Cut-to-length products, including belts, chain, conveyor components, and similar items.
- Electrical products that have been installed, wired, or commissioned.
- Bearings, seals, couplings, belts, motors, gearboxes, lubricants, or other products that have been fitted, used, tested, or show signs of installation.
- Products returned damaged, incomplete, or not in saleable condition.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrectly Supplied Products
If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible at sales@rrfisher.co.nz.
We may request:
- Your invoice number.
- A description of the issue.
- Photographs of the product and packaging where applicable.
Where the issue is confirmed, RR Fisher will arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include replacement, repair, refund, or credit in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act and other applicable New Zealand consumer laws.
How to Request a Return
Before sending any goods back, please contact RR Fisher to obtain return approval.
Please provide:
- Invoice or order number.
- Product details.
- Quantity being returned.
- Reason for return.
Returns sent without prior approval may be refused.
Once approved, returns should be sent to: 77 Cashmere Drive, Fitzherbert, Palmerston North 4410, New Zealand.
Return Freight
Unless the goods were supplied incorrectly, faulty, or damaged in transit:
- Return freight costs are the customer's responsibility.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return, and let you know whether the refund has been approved. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Please note that your bank or credit card provider may take additional time to process and post the refund.
Our Commitment
We aim to be fair and practical. If a genuine mistake has been made and the product remains in new, saleable condition, we'll make every reasonable effort to help. However, because many engineering and power transmission products are sourced specifically for individual applications, we cannot accept returns on products that have been installed, used, modified, or specially procured for a customer's order.
For any questions about returns, contact us at sales@rrfisher.co.nz.
