The Super Lube Story
Origins and Founding
In New Zealand, Super Lube® is trusted by workshops and industrial facilities for machinery maintenance, thanks to its long-lasting synthetic formulations. Super Lube was founded in 1980 by Sal Randisi Sr., a mechanical engineer, and Hilda Randisi, a pharmacist. The company began as Synco Chemical Corporation, based in Bohemia, New York, and initially focused on the consumer boating market. Their breakthrough came with the development of a patented white gelled formula (WGL), which included the proprietary additive Syncolon® (PTFE) which is a solid lubricant that doesn’t evaporate like base oils and lasts up to four times longer. This key ingredient remains central to Super Lube products today.
After its initial success, Synco expanded into the telecommunications industry, developing synthetic compounds for fibre optic cables. This innovation laid the groundwork for the creation of Super Lube, a line of premium synthetic lubricants designed for a wide range of industrial and consumer applications. By 1983, the Super Lube brand was officially launched, and by the mid-1980s, it had expanded into Europe and Asia, with distribution in Italy, Japan, and beyond. RR Fisher soon joined on as a distribution partner and today, Super Lube products are sold in over 45 countries, serving industries from food processing to automotive, electronics, and heavy machinery.

Super Lube Product Range
Super Lube® Greases are high-performance, patented synthetic lubricants designed to outperform conventional petroleum-based greases across a wide range of applications. Engineered with Syncolon® (PTFE), one of the most slippery substances known, these greases fill surface irregularities and form a smooth, long-lasting lubricated layer. This makes SuberLube an ideal lubricant for use in workshops. The Syncolon® particles remain in constant suspension, ensuring even distribution and consistent performance. Super Lube® Greases are clean, dielectric, waterproof, and resistant to acids and alkalis, making them ideal for demanding environments. Most formulations are NSF H1-rated for incidental food contact, Kosher certified, and offer a broad operating temperature range, making them suitable for both industrial and food-grade applications. In short a great option for food grade grease in NZ.
Super Lube® Synthetic Oils are premium, high-performance lubricants engineered for applications requiring lighter, pourable oils across a range of viscosities—from ultra-light to heavy. These oils incorporate Syncolon® (PTFE), a proprietary additive that significantly reduces friction by filling surface irregularities and forming a smooth, durable lubricating film. Super Lube® Oils are dielectric, clean, and food-grade, with most products NSF H1-rated for incidental food contact and some NSF H3-rated for direct contact. They offer excellent thermal stability, high flash and fire points, low volatility, and strong resistance to oxidation and corrosion. These characteristics make them ideal for industrial machinery, tools, and food processing equipment where reliability and cleanliness are critical.
Super Lube® Penetrants are advanced synthetic formulations designed to quickly loosen rusted or frozen parts while providing long-lasting lubrication and corrosion protection. Infused with Syncolon® (PTFE), these penetrants reduce friction and wear by forming a durable lubricating film that remains effective even after the initial application. They are ideal for use in industrial, automotive, marine, and household settings where fast-acting, deep-penetrating action is needed to free bolts, nuts, and other metal components. Super Lube® Penetrants are clean, non-toxic, and many are NSF H1-rated for incidental food contact, making them suitable for use in food processing environments as well.
Super Lube® Aerosols and Non-Aerosols offer versatile, high-performance lubrication solutions tailored for a wide range of industries and environments. These products deliver the same premium synthetic formulations found in Super Lube® greases and oils, but in convenient spray or pump formats for easy application. Whether in aerosol cans for quick, targeted use or non-aerosol options for facilities with environmental or safety restrictions, these lubricants provide excellent protection against friction, wear, rust, and corrosion. Many are NSF H1-rated for incidental food contact, making them suitable for food processing equipment. With options like multi-purpose lubricants, silicone sprays, and corrosion inhibitors, Super Lube® ensures reliable performance in both maintenance and production settings.
